With the growing importance of the Web, the demand for experts in this
area is continuously increasing. To address this need, the four Lower
Saxony universities Braunschweig, Clausthal, Göttingen, and Hannover
have established a new international MSc program: Internet
Technologies and Information Systems (ITIS). The cooperation between
these universities allows us to offer a wide range of courses in the
three focus areas of Distributed Systems and Algorithms, Networking
and Communication, and Databases and Information Systems. Modules in
Business & Law and Soft Skills complete the program.
The standard duration of study is 2 years for the ITIS Master Program
and 4 years for the ITIS PhD Program. All courses are provided in
English, making ITIS well suited for international students coming
from abroad. Furthermore, ITIS has a strong research focus, excellent
links to collaborating institutions in America, Europe, Asia, and
Australia, and strong alliances with industrial partners that offer
unique opportunities for our students.
The program is now accepting applications for the winter semester
2011/2012, with a deadline of January 15, 2012. Study grants are
available for excellent students. For more information and online
application, see http://www.itis-graduateschool.de/
