Is education / study free in Sweden for international students?

At the moment there are no tuition fees in Sweden. However, the Swedish government has decided to introduce tuition fees for non-European students starting from the autumn 2011 at the earliest. Students who will pay tuition fees: Fees will be introduced only for students from outside of the EU/EEA Fees will apply to undergraduate and graduate courses and programmes (i.e. Bachelor’s and Master’s level courses and programmes). Fees will be introduced for studies commencing in August 2011 (the autumn term) and onwards. The application round for studies commencing in the autumn term takes place during 1 December 2010 -15 January 2011.

yes, but swedish govt is offering a big number of scholarships to international students.
