Living in Germany is, however, quite expensive. One of the conditions for being granted a residence permit for studies by the German Embassy is that you must prove that you will have enough money to cover your whole stay in Germany. Options to finance your studies 1) Blocked account with a German bank in Germany, amounting to at least 7,656 €, marked with a special condition that only a sum of 638 € will be available every month 2) formal obligation (declaration of liability) according to §§ 66-68 of the German Resident's Act 3) German or foreign official scholarship

Keep in mind every state in Germany have different rules, even banks and visa officers are not strict in some states, The visa requirement is around 7,656 € to show a bank draft of your name or account in Germany, but in some German states even if you have less money if you have reached in Germany your visa will be extended, but it is not the rule, it depends on area and visa officers. if your study is free and you will be allow to work as well, then you need to have around 7,656 € for your 1st year, if your course is paid then full course fee + around 7,656 €,
